Arrest: Janet Tyburski, from North Ridgeville, Ohio, was arrested Tuesday and charged with murder in the death of her daughter Rachele Tyburski, 26,
An Ohio mother has been charged with suffocating her daughter to death and then dumping her body in a snow covered field.
Janet Tyburski, from North Ridgeville, Ohio, was arrested Tuesday and charged with murder in the death of her daughter Rachele Tyburski, 26.
Tyburski is alleged to have suffocated Rachele at their Lakewood home and then carried her body to a field off of Victory Lane in North Ridgeville.
The owner of a nearby property noticed Rachele's partially covered body behind a snowy mound on March 15 and called 911.
Investigators said Rachele was covered with bruises on her head and chest, but the injuries were not severe enough to kill her.
She had been dead for at least 24 hours before she was found, suggesting that she was killed before her body was carried out to the field.
According to Lakewood police, Rachele had no identification on her, but after they launched an appeal, Tyburski contacted them and said that the dead woman was likely her daughter.
Lorain County Coroner Stephen Evans said last week that an initial test showed no signs of toxins in Rachele's body but more tests will be done.

Mom-of one: Rachele lived in Lakewood with her mother and had a four-year-old son
Investigators said that they have not yet found a motive for the crime but the bruises on her body may have come from a struggle between mother and daughter.

Meanwhile, police had been called to the home several times in recent years to investigate domestic disputes, North Ridgeville Police Leutenant Greg Petek said.
But Lakewood Municipal Court records showed that neither woman was ever charged with a crime as a result of these incidents.
Tyburski will be held in the Lorain County Jail until her first court appearance.
