Grace Jones, born 19 May 1948, is a Jamaican model, singer, and actress, known for her wild style and electric stage presence. A pioneer of dance music, she began her career as a model, working with brands like Yves St. Laurent and appearing on the cover of Vogue. A music career followed in the late 70s, with hits like ‘Slave To The Rhythm’. While she started with disco influences, Grace’s style evolved to include shades of reggae, funk, post-punk, and pop music. In the 80s Grace began appearing in films, with credits that include ‘Conan the Destroyer’, ‘A View to a Kill’, and ‘Vamp’.
