The rebellious pop superstar was born Alecia Moore in September 1979 in Doylestown, Penn.
She began performing in Philadelphia nightclubs at the age of 14. By the time she was 16, she was signed to LaFace Records as part of the R&B trio Choice. Though the girl group disbanded, LaFace kept Pink as a solo artist.
Pink broke on to the scene with her 2000 album Can’t Take Me Home. A 2001 collaboration with Lil’ Kim, Mya and Christina Aguilera for the Moulin Rouge single “Lady Marmalade” followed as well as 30 million albums sold. Her most recent album, Funhouse, has already yielded hits such as “So What,” “Please Don’t Leave Me” and “Sober.”
The singer has been in an on-again, off-again romance with professional motocross racer Carey Hart. The couple tied the knot in January 2006, briefly separated after two years of marriage, then reunited in March 2009 in an attempt to work things out.
In May 2011, the couple welcomed their first child together, daughter Willow Sage.
